This past month Jesus Film Media celebrated a milestone — our app and platform officially launched a year ago! Things have gone better than expected over the past 12 months.
Our app has been installed on mobile devices over 175,000 times. People have hit play on our films more than 17 million times. We’ve added and expanded language options to currently include 1,158 languages and 128 total video titles (including chapters of the JESUS Film).
We’ve trained hundreds and equipped thousands to be mobile missionaries around the world and here at home.
Searching in Ukraine
In August, I got to help train a team of 14 who are traveling through 9 Eastern European countries over the course of this year. They’re planting movements of spiritual multiplication on campuses, and one of their primary tools is the JFM app.
While in Rivine, Ukraine they met a young believer named Natasha and showed her how to use the app with some discussion questions to share the Gospel. After seeing the short film “La Búsqueda – The Search” (based on the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15) she’s just run with it! She’s been sharing the Gospel with her fellow students in one-on-one conversations as well as more organized outreaches and discussion groups.
On the Trail
A dose of reality as well… I am having to split my time at this point between my work with JFM and working on our personal financial support. We’ve noticed a short-fall somewhere in the $1,000/month range. I’m taking some trips to meet with some of you and some people who might be new partners with us.
Pray that the Lord would raise it quickly. After all, He’s the one that “does all things well,” (Mark 7:37) not me!
Please pray for:
Our financial support. The Lord has been providing, but we need to do the footwork. Pray that we will see His provision in abundance before the end of the year!
Pray for the 13 UCF students who indicated decisions to follow Christ at last month’s “It is Broken” outreach.
It looks like we’re moving sometime before the new year. Pray that it would go well and that the pregnancy and the like would not cause more stress than necessary.
